The Research Centre for Didactics and Technology in Teacher Education is a research structure of the University of Aveiro that aims to promote, foster, support and divulge research in the Didactics of Specific Areas and Educational Technology and their articulation with similar domains.

It was created in 1994 by the Research Institute of the University of Aveiro and recognized at the time by JNICT (National Body for Scientific and Technological Research) and has been financed by FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology) since 1997.

It is housed in the Department of Didactics and Educational Technology of the University of Aveiro.

Its external evaluation has been conducted by an international board of evaluators assigned by and in accordance with FCT criteria.

The Centre obtained the following assessments:
