Nélia Alberto is a post-doctoral researcher in the Instituto de Telecomunicações - Aveiro and Nanotechnology Research Division of the Center for Mechanical Technology and Automation (Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Aveiro) and therefore a member of the Aveiro Institute of Nanotechnology (University of Aveiro). Her research interests include the study and development of optical fiber based devices for sensing and telecommunications. Currently, she is focused on nanodiamond and graphene coatings of optical fibers for photonic applications.
