Dr Aiping Zeng was awarded PhD in Applied and Plasma Physics from the University of Sydney, Australia on 1st Dec 2008. But he has 20 years experience in industry, research and academia since he completed Bachelor degree in 1992. He is currently a Postdoctoral fellow funded by Foundation of Science and Technology, (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia - FCT), a Portuguese Government, in the Center for Mechanical and Automobile Technology (Centro de Tecnologia Mecânica e Automação - TEMA), at University of Aveiro, Portugal. Since completing his PhD he has held roles at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel and Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea with Brain Korea 21-Consortium Researcher fellowship. Dr. Zeng obtained an international reputation in this field of electrochemistry of diamond-like carbon films due to his pioneering work. He has a total of 14 articles published in the area of electrochemistry of diamond-like carbon films with first author or corresponding author on international peer-reviewed journals including two Feature Articles. The average citations for these articles are 17.4. All of three highest cited articles have citations over 50. Dr. Zeng is also a highly respected researcher in China. The Chinese language version of his article “Chemical surface treatment for magnesium alloys” has been cited 211 times. Presently his research interest focuses on solar energy.
