Biography
Anabela Botelho is a Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism, University of Aveiro, Portugal where she serves as the Coordinator of the Economics Area, Director of the PhD in Business and Economics, and as the Coordinator of the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (GOVCOPP) funded by the Portuguese National Science Foundation.

Dr Botelho received her PhD in Economics (1998) from the University of South Carolina, USA, and over the course of her career she has carried out teaching and/or research activities at, amongst others, the Universities of Minho and Porto in Portugal, and at the Universities of California and Central Florida in the USA. She has also served as a court-appointed expert for the Labor Court in Braga, Portugal, and as a representative of the Rectors of the Portuguese Universities at the Portuguese National Superior Council of Statistics (ongoing).

Her main teaching activities have included undergraduate and graduate courses in Econometrics, Microeconometrics, Game Theory, and Experimental Economics, and her research focuses on the use of these methodologies to the analysis of specific problems affecting mainly the Environmental, Energy, and Health sectors of the Economy.
